The preparation for the reconstruction of Ukraine has begun: Recent visit to Kyiv enlightens business opportunities for Danish companies

The reconstruction of Ukraine will require large quantities of concrete, and SKAKO Concrete will be ready to contribute with batching plants, equipment, and solutions for concrete producers.

Last week, a business delegation of 22 Danish companies, led by the Danish Minister of Business and Industry, Morten Bødskov, visited Kyiv, Ukraine. Among the participating companies were Carlsberg, FLSmidth Inc., Danfoss, Velux, DSV, and not least, SKAKO Concrete.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen relations between Danish and Ukrainian companies and to explore the possibilities of entering the Ukrainian market.

Danish companies have goodwill in Ukraine

SKAKO Concrete was represented by our Sales Manager from Poland, Flemming Rindshøj. Living so close to Ukraine, Flemming Rindshøj has a good acquaintance with the Ukrainian market:

“Ukraine strives to attract foreign investments that can rebuild the country, create jobs, and make Ukraine self-reliant in the long term. At the same time, Denmark has an enormous amount of goodwill in Ukraine. If we want to be part of the reconstruction of Ukraine, now is the time to do the preparatory work, which is why we joined the visit to Ukraine. A physical presence in the market is necessary, despite the horrors of the war,” says Flemming Rindshøj.

The trip to Kyiv was a great success

During our stay in Kyiv, we met many potential Ukrainian customers and partners. We were also very honoured to meet – and have a short talk – with Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko.

“We had some intense, exciting, and encouraging days in Kyiv, where I felt a sense of solidarity with the Ukrainians we met,” says Flemming Rindshøj.
